Body Rules
Chassis:
- Must use 4-1/2 inch wheel base
chassis.
- The preferred chassis is Parma FCR.
However any other 4-1/2 inch stamped steel or spring steel factory chassis
is acceptable.
- No modifications or alterations are
allowed.
- May add motor brace and/or guide tongue brace
- No other chassis modifications or
reinforcement allowed.
- No scratch built chassis is allowed in this
class.
Bodies:
- Bodies must be from year 1970 or older hard plastic model car
body.
- There are two Body Classes - Full-size
Cars and Pony Cars (Camaro, Mustang, Firebird, Studebaker,
Chevy II, Falcon, Avanti, Corvair, etc.)
- No convertibles allowed
- Body Rocker Panels cannot be trimmed to lower
roof height
- Body cannot be ground out (thinned) to reduce
weight.
- Wheel wells may be trimmed out to fit tires
Axle and Tires
- Must use 1/8 inch axles in rear
- May use 1/8 or 3/32 axles in the front
- Rear of chassis must clear 1/16 inch thick
tech tool at the start of the race
- Maximum width is 3-1/4 inch and the tech tool
must slide over wheel width on both front and rear of chassis
Motor
- Must use Parma "Chinese" 16D Motor,
with unbalanced armature
- May change brushes and springs
- Any gear ratio is allowed, but must be 48
pitch
- Motor rule is subject to change as pertaining
to availability and costs.
Note: We will do everything possible to keep the
costs down in this class
